DUNEDIN, FLA.–Toronto Manager John Gibbons held his pregame scrum on Thursday saying of spring training, “The last couple of weeks will really tell, we’ll go down to the wire.”  As to LHP Ricky Romero, Gibbons was ask if the Ricky of 2-3 years ago was coming back.  “It would be huge, he looked different the last 2-3 appearances have been great.  His trouble has been walking guys,” Gibbons continued, “He feels good we feel good.”  As to shortstop Jonathan Diaz who was with the Red Sox in 2013 Gibbons said, “He’s a good shortstop, you can put him anywhere out there.”
The Blue Jays dropped the game to the Houston Astros 7-5.
Below, Mosises Sierra was 1 for 2 and scored a run but took his lumps during  a plate appearance in the 5th when he fouled one off his foot and then was hit by a pitch.
