The Cavs land the 1st pick in the draft yet again, it’s like Groundhog Day over and over again, they get the 1st pick and yet they continue to underperform. I look at it this way; Either Dan Gilbert is the luckiest S.O.B. on the planet, he sold his soul to the Devil or he has photos of all Adam Silver and David Stern having “Relations” with V. Stiviano before she was a she. I don’t know which one it is but however you look at it, it looks odd.

With that being said, the questions are; what are the Cavs going to do now, what direction do they move in, and who will they hire as coach? I’ve had many people ask what I think they will do and what I would do. I don’t like to speak for anybody other than myself so this is what I would do if I were running the Cavs.

Oh let me get this out of the way, Lebron is not coming back to Cleveland so stop it with that nonsense.

I’ve, in the past, mentioned David Fizdale as a possible candidate to be the next Head Coach and I still say he should be the guy. I would actually love to have Fizdale come to Lakers but since this story is about the Cavs, I’ll put him here. It’s obvious Fizdale can handle superstars, crybabies and ego’s, it’s obvious Fizdale is very smart, some say he is brilliant and some would say he may have all the brains on the Heat’s coaching staff. I’ll just say he is the right guy for the Cavs and I’m sticking to it.

Next we move on to the Draft, holding the 1st pick in such a deep draft is great, I’ve seen some say the Cavs should trade the pick for Kevin Love, like the Lebron dreamers, keep on dreaming thinking Love would want to come play here. I would hold on to that 1st pick and select Small Forward Jabari Parker.

Irving, Waiters, and Parker could really cause havoc on the offensive side of the ball. I’m still not sold on Thompson or Bennett, although some have said to give Bennett some time I still feel that the best he will ever be is a role player off the bench…at best. Varejao, Thompson, Bennett, and Gee are all on the block and I’d take draft picks this year or next year for them. I plan on filling my holes in free agency so letting them go is no big loss.

I would reach out to Gortat to play at Center and Jordan Hill to come in and start at Power Forward. Both guys can give me double doubles on a nightly basis and they don’t need to have  plays drawn up for them, they are both tough defenders and matching them with the 3 Young Guns in Irving, Waiters and Parker would be a great fit, all 5 guys have big motors and are like sharks, they don’t stop moving.

The Cavs would have their Runners, Gunners and Goons with this line up and some veterans to help the kids along, they would have guys that are hungry to win and have something to prove. This is a team that can stop team on defense, grab rebounds, run, pick, roll, space the floor, post up and most importantly… WIN. Good luck this year Cavs your fans deserve better than what you have done for them in past.
