LAKELAND, FLA.–Back on July 11, 2013 Tigers prospect Daryl Norris made his pro debut, one he probably wished he could forget.  That day the first pitch Norris threw as a pro was in relief with a runner on base and two away.  That first offering was deposited over the left field fence by the opposing hitter but Norris did strike out the next hitter to end his debut a 27.00 ERA.

Yesterday Norris took the mound for his third pro appearance and tossed two shutout innings as the Tigers beat the Pirates 9-4.  Norris, from Mobile, Alabama has now thrown 3 2/3 shutout innings allowing just four hits and striking out five, a definite improvement over his shaky first trip to the professional mound.
