Logan Sanders!

Clearwater, Fla.–The Toronto Ontario native Aleks Popovic played both games of the doubleheader for the Minnesota Post Grad squad against St. Petersburg College at Jack Russell Memorial Stadium, Clearwater, Florida on Saturday. Unfortunately, Minnesota Post Grad dropped both ends of the double header.  Other Canadians on the squad were Baylan MacKeller from Courtice, Ontario, Brayden Bryan of Norwood, Ontario and Anthony Celar of Woodbridge Ontario.

The big bomb that sank the Minnesota squad in the second game came off the bat of a son of a former Toronto Blue Jay.  St. Pete’s center fielder Logan Sanders son of Anthony Sanders had a grand-slam homer in the bottom of the third of game two to go with a triple in the game’s first inning.  Sander’s photo shows him hitting the grand-slam while Popovic’s shows his RBI single.
