CLEARWATER, FLA.–Oakville Ontario native Matt Brown (1-3) threw six innings allowing five runs on five hits while walking two and striking out just one as the St. Petersburg College Titans beat the University of Tampa JV squad 10-6.  The win breaks the Titans five game losing streak.  Two of Brown’s runs he allowed were homers on consecutive pitches.  Logan Sanders was one of three Titans hitters to go 3-5 in the team’s 18 hit attack.  On Saturday St. Pete hosts Minnesota Post Grad in a double header starting at noon at Jack Russell Memorial Stadium.

Logan Sanders hits an RBI ground rule double in the second. Sanders is the son of former major leaguer Anthony Sanders who is presently the first base coach for the Baltimore Orioles. EDDIE MICHLES PHOTO
