Cincinnati Reds prospect Phillip Ervin was named the Arizona Fall League’s Player of the Week after batting .333 with a homer, eight RBI and two stolen bases during the AFL’s most recent week of play. Ervin, a 23-year-old outfielder, smacked 14 homers, plated 71 RBI and stole 34 bases between High-A and Double-A last season; he is currently ranked as the Reds’ No. 11 prospect by MLBPipeline.com. Ervin is batting .222 with a .311 OBP through 14 games in Arizona, and he is tied for second in the league with eight stolen bases.
