Rowdy Homers for Rafters
By Buck Davidson on October 30, 2015Toronto Blue Jays prospect and 2015 Dunedin Blue Jay Rowdy Tellez went 2-for-3 with a walk and launched a solo home run to lead the Salt River Rafters to a 5-2 win over the Peoria Javelinas Thursday in Arizona Fall League action. Tellez’s homer, his second in this year’s AFL, was a tape-measure shot that landed far up on the berm in right field and showcased the 20-year-old lefty’s enormous power. Tellez is Toronto’s No. 7 prospect according to MLBPipeline.com, and he is currently batting .278 with 10 RBIs and an .808 OPS in nine Arizona Fall League games.
