UPDATED: DUNEDIN, FLA.–The Toronto Blue Jays third pick, 88th overall in the June 2019 Draft and the first Canadian Dasan Brown professional debut has been pushed back to Friday July 26th.
The delay was caused by rain in Dunedin, Fl. on Wednesday and with the GCL Blue Jays being off on Thursday Brown will appear in his first professional game on Friday against the GCL Tigers West squad in Lakeland. Scheduled first pitch is Noon.
DUNEDIN, FLA. (Tuesday July 23, 2019)–The Toronto Blue Jays third pick (88th overall) in this years draft Dasan Brown won’t be doing many more warm ups without a uniform on as Wednesday July 24, 2019 he will be making his professional debut.
Brown, the highest drafted Canadian, is scheduled to start the game in center against the Yankees East squad at noon on field one at the Blue Jays Englebert Complex in Dunedin.
“I’m excited,” said Brown after being told by GCL Blue Jays manager Dennis Holmberg of the start, “It has been a lot of practice, now I am ready to play some games.” One problem though for fans wanting to attend the game is there is no parking or fan access for the GCL games in Dunedin because of the construction to the minor league complex.
