Are the Kids Safe?

This photo shows Field 2’s left field line at the Toronto Blue Jays Player Development Complex.  It shows a possibly protective net stretched down the area which is on the east side of the Garrison-Jones Elementary School playground.  The netting is supposed to keep batted balls from entering the children’s playground.  Of course, the baseball field isn’t supposed to be where it is as the originally layout of the complex had the field about 300-feet south of where it presently is.  By placing the field where it presently is caused the water table to shift and now during rain it floods a portion of the school’s playground making it unusable.  Now if this isn’t bad enough this tract of land was given to the City of Dunedin by the Louis A. Vanech Foundation for use by the city’s residents.  It used to have up until 2018 three softball fields, two spacious dog parks, a bike path for children to the school and a children’s playground which are now all gone, the city’s mayor gave it to the Blue Jays.  Something must be done before the children become injured, any ideas, eh?
