Dustin is Mc-Back
By Eddie Michels on May 3, 2013CLEARWATER, FLA.–Toronto Blue Jays right-hander Dustin McGowan (right shoulder) returned to the mound today in an extended spring game against the Phillies at their Carpenter Complex. Tossing 12-pitches, 11-strikes in an extended inning, McGowan allowed two hits and struck out one getting four ground ball outs including a double play. “He feels great and looked great today,” said Toronto’s minor league pitching rehab coordinator Rick Langford, “Tomorrow he will do a long toss program to get him going again.” A former number one pick by Toronto in the June 2000 draft McGowan is 20-24 with a 4.80 ERA over an injury shortened major league career that started in 2005.
