Native Grounds?

By on September 20, 2018

Two unidentified construction vehicles appeared on Wednesday to be checking to see if the soil was strong enough to support support more that the present center field on Field #3 at the Englebert Complex.  The land was originally an orange grove and prior to that possible an area for native Americans.

On Wednesday on Field 2 at the Vanech Complex in Dunedin contractors were checking for under ground utilities  lines under the softball field.

This same ground penetrating radar was used on the rest of the Englebert Complex used by the Blue Jays in spring training.  The radar then found traces of Indian artifacts on the property.
