Dunedin, Fla. — Former Toronto Blue Jays first round pick and previous opening day starter Rickey Romero faced his first live hitters this spring on Monday morning. Romero (various injuries) threw all his pitches to a group of minor leaguers on the infamous Field One at the Mattick Complex. After tossing his 30th pitch Romero jumped off the mound with a smile on his face. On Tuesday both LHP’s Mark Buehrle and Brett Cecil with pitch in minor league games as the complex.
