Eddie Michels follows Carlos Villanueva’s Rehab
By Eddie Michels on August 20, 2011 Villanueva (strained right forearm) continues to make rapid progress in hopes of returning to the team in September.
“I haven’t felt this good since June,” said Villanueva Friday morning refering to the Reds game in June when he figures his problems started.
Villanueva threw a lengthy long toss session from 120-feet on Friday expects after an off day on Sunday to throw a bullpen session on Monday. That will be followed by two rehab appearences with Class-A Dunedin prior to returning to the Jays.
Villanueva , who is 6-3 with a 4.24 era has been on the 15-day DL since August 11 back dated to August 4 is getting a bigger and bigger smile on his face each time he is out throwing.
