Manning’s Stellar Outing

Right-hander Matt Manning got the GCL’s Tiger West squad off to a good start on Wednesday in a 2-1 win over the Phillies.  Manning, the Detroit Tigers first pick in this June’s draft, ninth overall, threw three no hit innings striking out four.  The 18 year old signed for $3,505,000.
