Pineiro moving up, Hoffman Debut Soon

After throwing five shutout innings on Saturday at the Mattick Complex Joel Pineiro is ready to move up.  “I’m going to Double-A (New Hampshire) for one or two starts,” said the veteran major leaguer Pineiro, who was then ask Buffalo and Toronto which he replied, “That’s the plan.”  Pineiro allowed four hits while walking one and striking out five on 57-pitches.

Blue Jays first pick in last June’s draft Jeff Hoffman (below) went four innings on Saturday at the Mattick Complex allowing an unearned run on 56-pitches.  On May 14, 2014 Hoffman had Tommy John surgery and could make his pro debut before the end of the month.
